Leaps and Bounds

Annalise is growing by leaps and bounds! She is doing the "tripod" sitting for a few minutes at a time, as seen above. She used to roll tummy-to-back, but gave it up as soon as she learned how to roll back-to-tummy, which she does all the time now (but only in one direction...I'm sure she'll figure out she can go the other way at some point!) She really enjoys hanging out on her tummy - if you put her down, she will not stay on her back unless you entertain her!

She LOVES watching her brother and cracks up when she catches him burping or making other bodily function noises! If they are laying near each other, she will reach out for him or roll towards him (if he is on her left, that is!)

She is super smiley all the time and rarely fusses - but when she does, she is SO SO sad....

Jim calls Annalise "Thumper" - her left foot is always kicking up and down, whether she's in the bouncy chair or on her tummy!

She vocalizes a lot and loves to play with her range....some days, she'll decide to focus on loud, high pitches and shrieks, and other days it's lower tones that are interesting - it's really cute.

Bathtime is fun; she loves to splash the water and crack herself up when water droplets hit her face.

Annalise is a great eater. She typically eats 5-6 oz per bottle feeding, 6 times a day, plus the two solid food meals. When eating solids, she is a lot more dainty than her brother - it isn't too hard to keep her clean.

When going to sleep, she has a little bunny she likes to hold and suck on (she won't take the paci!) So bunny it is.

CHEEKS!

Annalise beat Grover in their first wrestling match.

Our little genius is already reading!

Zayn vs. Avocado

Not too excited on the first try.

Still not excited.

Downright mad.

He warmed up to it after the first few bites and ended up eating it all! Yum!

Milestones Galore

I was talking to my cousin Sonja the other day and she mentioned that she checks this blog _all the time_. I timidly ask - gulp - how often? Every other day! Now *that* is faith, considering it's been about four months since my last update. So first off, sorry Sonja! And anyone else who is still checking in!

The babies just turned SIX MONTHS old and I can't believe it. My little ones are not so little anymore, sniff, sniff. But we are having tons of fun and Jim and I are really enjoying getting to know their personalities. We've hit lots of milestones in the last 4 months. Most recent of which is starting solid foods. So far they've had, in this order: baby cereal, avocado, peas, and sweet potato.

Zayn seems to know that a while new culinary world awaits in this box...

He couldn't get enough.
Tummy time fun.
